Mamie attended schools in Cedar County, Mo. She was converted at the age of 15 and was a lifelong member of the Church of God Holiness. She was a very loving and giving person and was very proud of her family; always doing work for them. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Gragg, Nevada; three grandchildren, Phillip Gragg and his wife Becky, Nevada, Sandra Patrick, Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Michael Gragg and his wife Linda, Nevada; six great-grandchildren, Justin Gragg and his wife Amy, Blue Springs, Mo., Sabrina Nikodim and her husband Brian, Joplin, Mo., Lars Patrick, Oak Ridge, Tenn., Ariel Patrick, Oak Ridge, Tenn., Mikel Gragg, Nevada, and Nathan Gragg, Nevada, and one great-great grandson, Zane Gragg, Blue Springs, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charlie Nelson and William Nelson; three sisters, Ruby Carter, Ida Nelson, and Iva Hartley, and son-in-law Jimmie Gragg.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Rex Scoles officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the bus fund of the Nazarene Church in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
