In the first set, Nevada had to mount a comeback win as they found themselves down 8-11 until Taylor Means went back to serve and sent Nevada on an 8-0 run to take a 17-11 lead on their way to a 25-18 win. The Lady Tigers were able to stay in control in the second set to take the win by the same score, 25-18.
Mariah Mock and Jessica Harper led the team with eight kills each while Means tacked on 12 points with five kills. Kori Lowery had a team-high 10 assists with four kills and Brooke Silvola added another seven assists.
The JV team had similar success as they defeated Seneca in convincing fashion 25-11, 25-7. Both teams were scheduled to be in action again on Tuesday as they were set to travel to Ash Grove High School with their next home match coming on Thursday against McDonald County High School.
