Middle school football splits in Joplin

The Nevada Middle School seventh grade football team traveled to Joplin Memorial Tuesday night.

The B team ended the night in a tie after a touchdown run by Steffan Ogle and a two-point conversion by Reed Hardin gave the Tigers the 8-8 at the end of the game. The A team had slightly better luck as touchdown runs by Grant Wolfe and Alex Payne gave Nevada a 12-0 victory.

The B team's record fell to 0-2-1 with the tie and the A team extended their record to 1-2, with the next contest coming on Oct. 14, at Logan Field at 5:30 p.m.
