Heidi Wilson, left, and Emily Moore watch as Nevada senior Taylor Means returns a serve during Thursday night's 2-1 win over the McDonald County Lady Mustangs. The Lady Tigers beat the Mustangs 25-18 and 25-21, to push their season record to 14-3-2. Earlier, the freshmen won 25-7, 25-5 and the junior varsity lost a close match 25-20, 28-25, 20-25. Nevada head coach Becky Lowery said that the second game was closely fought. She said that they played the Mustangs in summer camp and the matches there were very close as well. "This will help for district seedings," she said, adding that seeding takes place next week at McDonald County, which is hosting the district tournament. In addition to Nevada and McDonald County, the tournament will include East Newton, Carl Junction, Seneca and Monett.--Ralph Pokorny/Daily Mail
