Violet Vivian Schneider, 78, formerly of Walker, Mo., died on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at the Schowalter Villa, Hesston, Kan. She was born Nov. 19, 1929, in Montezuma, Kan., to Henry B. and Nettie Unruh Koehn. She married Earl Lee Schneider on June 18, 1967, in Montezuma, Kan., and he survives of Moundridge, Kan.

Mrs. Schneider was an elementary school teacher.

Survivors in addition to her husband Earl, include one son, Paul Schneider, Walker, Mo.; three daughters, Margretha Koehn, Nevada, Malinda Schneider, Moundridge, Kan., and Martha Kuder, Belle Plaine, Kan.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Koehn, Henry Koehn and David Koehn, all of Montezuma, Kan., and Pete Koehn, Ithaca, Mich.; two sisters, Mae Wedel, Yuma, Ariz. and Betty Rose Wiebe, Durham, Kan.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Living Faith Mennonite Church in Walker, Mo., with Ron Koehn and Robert Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., on Wednesday evening at the Living Faith Mennonite Church, Walker, Mo.
