The tournament was divided into two divisions with an A and B pool. Team scores were kept for the A pool only and Nevada took second place out of the nine schools that were in competition on the day.
"Everyone wrestled well and our seventh graders are showing a lot of improvement since the beginning of the season," head coach Terry Hancock said. "They are starting to use the things we use in practice in their matches and using them well."
Hancock spoke very highly of his eighth graders as well, stating that they are showing good leadership and "stepping up in tough matches." True Beisly, Brady Denney and Colby Smith have been especially strong in that leadership role, he said.
Nevada brought home 13 individual medals for top four finishes on the day. Wrestlers bringing home medals were Reed Hardin, True Beisly, Jonathan Ireland, Dalton Shunkwiler, Brady Denney, Colby Smith, Cody Foster, Jacob Maus, Tyler Schmidt, Josh McDowell, Anthony Franco, Anthony Charles and Tucker Wingert.
