Organization helps fire victims

Thursday, January 15, 2009
A family that lost their house and their youngest child in a November fire was given a donation from Lutheran Thrivent, a benevolent association, and a couple who held a chili supper and an auction to raise funds to donate to them Tuesday at the First National Bank. The Thrivent donation matched funds from a fund-raising event headed by Doug and Debbie Wortman. Thrivent gave $1,000 and a chili supper and auction hosted by the Wortmans raised $3,000.
