Matthew Scott Bogatay, 32, of Fort Scott, died Wednesday, March, 18, 2009, at Perry, Okla.
Matthew was born on July 10, 1976, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Steven and Jane Caolishaw Bogatay. Matthew worked for Mid-Continental Restorations Company, in Fort Scott. Matthew was reared in DeSoto, Kan., and graduated from DeSoto High School, in 1995, where he lived most of his life. He married Natasha Logan on Aug. 27, 2006, in Garrett, Kan.
Survivors include: two daughters, Kendra Bogatay, of the home, and Madison Bogatay, of Independence, Mo.; his father, Steven Bogatay, of Wellsville, Kan.; his mother, Jane Bogatay, of Wellsville; a brother Steven Bogatay, of Olathe; a sister, Jennifer Bogatay, of Franklin, Kan.; his paternal grandmother, Helen Bogatay, of Franklin; and his maternal grandfather, Leonard Cowlishaw, of Fort scott.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m., on Sunday, March 22, at the Bedene Funeral Home, in Arma, Kan. Matthew will be cremated folowing the visitation. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery, in Pittsburg.
