Larry Wayne Fleener, 51, Nevada, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada following a lengthy illness. He was born April 26, 1957, in Nevada, to Forest Leroy Fleener and Barbara Jean Cadman Diggins.
Larry was born and raised in Nevada and spent most of his life here except for 10 years spent in Owensville, Mo. He made his living as a store manager in the grocery business. He liked to hunt and fish.
Survivors include one son, Steven Fleener and his wife Amy, Walker; one daughter, Lisa Church and her husband Adam, Bronson, Kan; eight grandchildren, Savanah Fleener, Shawn Fleener, Gabriel Fleener and Emma Fleener, all of Walker, Treyton Church, Ashton Church and Kirston Church, all of Bronson, Kan., and Kennedy Church, Fort Scott; his mother, Barbara Diggins, Sheldon; one brother, Randy Fleener and his wife Martha, Titusville, Fla.; one sister, Kathi Adams and her husband Larry, Nevada.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, March 26, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
