Springs gallery issues call for art for regional judged exhibit

The Springs Gallery of El Dorado Springs and the Springfield Regional Arts Council have joined to-gether to host the first Regional Arts Exhibition in the Northwest Quadrant of Southwest Missouri.

The exhibition will be held at The Springs Gallery in El Dorado Springs May 1 through June 11 and will feature the work of artists from Bates, Cedar, Henry, Hickory, Polk, St. Clair and Vernon counties.

Of the pieces on display, 20 will be chosen by a panel of judges to be shown at the Creamary Arts Center in Springfield June 1-29, as part of the Regional Art Exhibition highlighting the artwork from the 27 counties served by the Springfield Regional Arts Council.

All local artists are encouraged to participate in the event. The Springs Gallery open reception is on Saturday, May 16, 1 p.m.- 4 p.m., and the event is open to the public. Gallery hours are 1-5 p.m., Monday through Friday. or by appointment.
