John Craig Bailey, 56, Nevada, passed away Friday, April 24, 2009, at his residence. He was born Aug. 26, 1952, in Baxter County, Ark., to John Edward Bailey and Sue Beavers Bailey.
John came to Nevada at an early age and graduated from Nevada High School in 1970. He served in the United States Navy for three years during the Vietnam Conflict, serving three tours of duty. He worked for the Union-Pacific Railroad and later for the Missouri-Pacific Railroad for 27 years. He lived most of his life in Nevada.
Survivors include his mother, Sue Bailey, Nevada; three sons Joshua Caleb Bailey and his wife Molly, Webb City, Mo., Jacob Charles Bailey and his wife Robin, Knob Noster, Mo., and Jason Christopher Bailey, the state of Utah; four grandchildren; two sisters, Suzanne Melton and her husband Jim, Nevada, and Kathryn Keeney, Nevada; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 2, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
