All Comers track meet rescheduled

Mother Nature got the best of Nevada High School athletics once again on Tuesday.

The Nevada All Comers track meet was originally scheduled to be held at Nevada High School Tuesday afternoon, but the wet and somewhat threatening weather forced the meet to be postponed.

The meet will still go on as and the final decision on a new date was finally revealed Thursday. The meet is now scheduled to take place at Nevada High School on Monday, May 11.

The event will include five age groups, ranging from a 4-and-under group to 11- to 12-year-olds. The number of entries per age group is unlimites and the entry fee is $2 per entry or three entries for $5 with a $1 fee for each entry past three age divisions.

Ribbons will be given in all age groups for each event and registration for the meet will be completed on site near the concession stand at 4 p.m. The meet is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.

Event start times will be posted, but are simply estimations, as the meet will run ahead of schedule.
