All-District baseball selections announced

The Class 3, District 12 All District teams have officially been announced. Though they were able to earn the top seed in the 2009 district tournament, only four members of the Tigers team earned All-District spots.

Carl Junction earned the most All-District selections of any team as the Bulldogs saw six of their members selected to the two teams. El Dorado Springs and Mount Vernon each earned three selections while Lamar, Seneca and East Newton each got one.

For the Tigers, two of their four All-District selections made the first team as senior Colby Shepherd and junior Austin Baldwin each earned the first-team honors. Junior Ron Johnson and sophomore Taylor Scotten both made the second team.
