Composting site announces summer hours; closed July 4

The city of Nevada's compost site, 702 S. Jefferson, features large bays for residents to deposit grass clippings or pick up compost or wood chip mulch, which is free to anyone The facility is open the first and third Saturday of each month, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and Wednesdays,12:30-6 p.m., but will be closed for the Fourth of July holiday. --Rusty Murry/Daily Mail
