Anna Mae (Leer) Allen was born July 13, 1926, in Nevada, to John and Pearl (Sellers) Banks. On Dec. 6, 1941, she was united in marriage to David Clinton Leer. After 52 blessed years of marriage and four children, Anne Mae lost David on April 8, 1994.

In 1995, Anna met Benny Allen. For the second time in her life she fell in love. Benny and Anna Married on Nov. 7, 1997. They resided in Harwood, Mo., until Anna became ill. She moved to Christian Health Care, Nevada, in 2002. Together Benny and the loving staff at Christian Health Care cared for her, until the Lord called her home on Monday, Aug. 3, at the age of 83.

Anna Mae has left behind her husband Benny Allen; two sons, Clinton Leer and wife Robin, of Rich Hill, and Dusty Leer and wife Kimberly, of Grandview, Mo.; two daughters, Karen Castrogiovanni, of Prague, Okla., and Dava Pearl Winder and husband Eldon, of Butler; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, David; three sisters; two brothers; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, Heuser Funeral Home, in Rich Hill. with Bill Perkey officiating. Pallbearers are: David Winder, Travis Leer, Josh Leer, Clay Winder, Brandon Leer, and Ryan Murff Leer. Honorary pallbearers are: Red Leer, Troy Leer, and Jimmie Leer. Interment will be in Balltown Cemetery, in Horton, Mo.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill.
