In an effort to decentralize some of the casework duties of the Springfield office, the Greater Ozarks Chapter of the American Red Cross will begin client casework from the Nevada office for seven of the counties the chapter serves -- Vernon, Cedar, St. Clair, Dade, Polk, Dallas and Hickory counties. This move will allow more efficient client follow-up within a geographical region and offer more volunteer opportunities in our satellite offices. Valorie Mead and Joyce Wallace will be the volunteers in charge of casework.

The Nevada satellite office recently took over the office that once housed the Nevada/Vernon County Area Chamber of Commerce.

Great Southern Bank has graciously loaned the majority of the office furniture to create a pleasant area for caseworkers and clients. The chapter greatly appreciates their contribution and would like to acknowledge their generosity.

To help the victims of local disasters, financial contributions can be mailed to: American Red Cross, 1545 N. West Bypass, Springfield, MO 65803. To volunteer, contact the chapter headquarters at (417) 832-9500 or (866) 206-0256.
