"I'm pleased several companies in the 31st District could benefit from the Missouri Customized Training Program," Sen. Pearce said. "A well-trained and highly skilled workforce will only better our local communities and the entire state of Missouri."
The Missouri Customized Training program offers funding assistance to eligible Missouri employers for the training and re-training of new and existing employees. In fiscal year 2009, training assistance was approved for 243 companies and five company training consortiums to train more than 32,000 workers. These companies reported over $1.4 billion in capital investment in Missouri.
