The students, 14 in all, did the work sporadically over the summer but had to wait until the corn was more mature to figure out where to place the maze paths, which took three weekends of cutting to achieve.
The class has designed the maze to be fun for people of all ages and set aside Wednesdays as fright-free nights, both to make it fun for younger children and so that those who might have religious objections to some aspects of Halloween can enjoy it too.
The charge for a trip through the maze is $5 for general admission, grade seven and older, $3 kindergarten to grade six and free to those younger than kindergarten age with an adult admission.
Group rates are available on Wednesdays so school, civic and church groups can enjoy the fun together. The maze is also open Friday and Saturday evenings. The closer to Halloween it gets, the scarier the maze will be on the weekends. The maze will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The senior class will have several other fundraisers throughout the year. The students planted 47 hills of pumpkins which are available to anyone wishing some for traditional decorating or eating. During home games the class will be working the concession stand and they will have different specials, appropriate to the season as the year goes by. Currently, they are offering taco salads for $5.

Can you post an address to this maze? It sounds like a lot of fun and the kids really enjoy doing things like this. Thanks!
The maze is the field to the left of the front entrance of the Bronaugh Schools. You'll see the corn once you enter the school parking lot.
527 E 6th Street, Bronaugh, MO.
From Nevada, go west on hwy 54 (towards Fort Scott) approx. 3 miles. Head south on 43 hwy approx. 12 miles. As you enter Bronaugh you will see the Bronaugh Schools sign on the left hand side. Take a left and continue about 5 blocks. The school is on your left and the corn field is on the north end of the school.
