Opera House Theater presents all gospel night on Oct. 1

The Opera House Theater in El Dorado Springs is proud to present an all gospel night scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m., with performances by Tim Wilson, Anna Lee "Newman" Barker, Rusty Carver, Emily Carver, Paige Esry, and the opera house gang.

Anna Lee "Newman" Barker has been singing all of her life. She is currently employed at Woods Supermarket and is married to Wayne Barker. She grew up in the El Dorado Springs community and sang with her family as a child. She enjoys singing the old country style, southern gospel music. She has sung at various fairs and picnics throughout her years and enjoys singing at church, the senior center and for other local civic organizations.

Tim Wilson comes to us from Nevada. He is the director of respiratory therapy at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Wilson has been singing for more than 20 years. He has performed at many community events and various surrounding area activities.

Rusty Carver his wife Judy reside in El Dorado Springs and have owned Curtis Cabinets since 1996. He has always enjoyed listening to music, but he has only been performing for a few years. He sings at the First Baptist Church as well as leading music at Community Springs Nursing Home on Sundays.

Emily Carver is the 15 year-old daughter of Rusty and Judy Carver. She is a sophomore at El Dorado Springs High School. She has been singing since preschool and enjoys singing on stage for school programs or show choir performances. She sings often at First Baptist Church as well as local talent competitions. Emily has been overall talent winner at the Schell City Fall Festival and El Dorado Springs Picnic.

Paige Esry is the daughter of Brandon and Shannon Esry. She attends El Dorado Springs schools and has quite a powerful voice.

Tickets are $7 at the door and are available in advance at Allison's Quick Lube.
