Benefit for Silver set for Oct. 10 at Hume fairgrounds

The friends and family of Tim Silver, Nevada, who is coping with liver disease, is set for Oct. 10, 9 a.m.-11 p.m., at the Hume, Mo., fairgrounds.

Friends say they want to do the right thing to help Silver and his wife Tina and baby daughter Harley. Tim is a lifelong resident of the area. Events of the day include a motorcycle show, live music, motorcycle games and more.

Admission is a donation at the gate, and contestants are to enter the bike show by 11 a.m.. Entry is $10, and classes will include custom, stock, classic and best of show.

Food and soft drinks will be available from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Music will be provided by three bands and begins at 2 p.m. and continues throughout the event. A 50/50 drawing also will be conducted. One hundred percent of all proceeds goes to the family.

From U.S. 71 Highway, take the Rich Hill exit and travel west on Highway A to Hume. From U.S 69 Highway, take the Prescott exit and travel east on 239 to Hume.
