Lady Hornets defeat Bronaugh

The Hume Lady Hornets varsity volleyball team added another strong home victory to their record as they took on the Bronaugh Lady Wildcats.

The Lady Hornets were able to cruise their way through the match for a fairly easy win, taking down the Lady Wildcats in two sets by the final scores of 2 5-19 and 25-12.

"The girls are playing very well right now," Lady Hornets head coach Delanya Thompson said. "They are really working together as a team."

Sara Farrar led the Lady Hornets with 10 points and five aces on the night while Carlee Campbell recorded seven kills and two blocks. Makena Thompson posted a team-high in assists, finishing the night with seven.

With that win, the Lady Tigers improved their overall record to 10-2 on the year and were scheduled to be in action again on Tuesday, hosting NEVC.
