Only two small changes in the numbers from Tuesday nights election did not change any race. Vernon County Clerk Tammi Beach certified Tuesday's results after checking the results from the polling place at the home economics building at the Vernon County fairgrounds.
Beach said a hand count of the precinct revealed that one voter had circled the arrows on the choices instead of completing the arrow as instructed. The change added one no vote to the Proposition 1 question and Amyl Bishop picked up a vote in the city council election.
The certified results are:
Proposition 1
Yes, 1,353; No, 383.
The city council race:
Brian Leonard, 523; Sherry Steward, 413; Joe Kraft, 411; Amyl Bishop, 350.
Beach said that because Kraft's third-place finish was within 1 percent of Steward's he had the option of requesting a hand recount.
Reached at his home and asked about the possibility his of requesting a recount. Kraft said he's weighing his options.
"It's one of the things being considered," Kraft said.
"I can't say I will and I can't say I won't. I have 30 days to make up my mind whether or not to do something."

Joe would be a great person on the council. I saw him in a resturaunt the other day and he said that when he was mayor they used to go out and thank new businesses for coming to Nevada. Not the chamber, but the city fathers. He mentioned Cato's as an example. Joe has a great deal of knowledge and may be old school to some, but that is probably what the city needs.
I think the other candidates are also good, but Joe has so much experience to bring to the table and his motivation is truley to help our town. Whoever is supposed to win will win, I just hope it is the best thing for Nevada.
Please Joe! Ask for the recount,we need your expertise on the council.
Joe, please ask for a recount. You are one of the smartest people I know, maybe the smartest. Please, please, please.
