Milo author pens novel

"The Dream Time: The Open Portal" by Neeta Leo is making its debut.

The novel is based on the premise that an ancient prophecy and a proud people on a collision course with the future. A young boy is chosen and leaves a legacy that turns to evil. A thousand years later a baby is born that will stop that evil and save all mankind.

Characters brought to life include Jeena -- she and her family are the keepers of the prophecy. She has kept the secret of her people from birth about the coming fight against evil.

There's also Lt. Whitmore, who's an ex-Navy Seal and has been assigned to a new base undercover and is chasing down a mad man trying to take control of the U.S. Government by conducting secret experiments.

Leo lives in Milo, Mo. "I love reading, drawing, the outdoors and my family," Leo said. "I am between semesters at Missouri Southern State University where I am studying for my bachelor of arts degree in science with a biology endorsement," she said.
