Holiday closings announced

The following city, county and state offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday: all offices of the City of Nevada, all Vernon County offices, the Vernon County Courthouse; and all state of Missouri offices.

Also closing for both days are: The Nevada Public Library, The Vernon County Health Department and the Nevada Public Housing Authority offices. Housing Authority residents having an emergency repair should contact Maintenance On Call at (417) 448-9740.

City offices in Sheldon, Schell City and Walker will also be closed until Monday Nov. 30. The Nevada Daily Mail will be closed on Thanksgiving day but will be open Friday, Nov. 27. No newspaper will be published for Thursday, Nov. 26, in observance of Thanksgiving.
