Nancy Lee Ferguson, 63, Nevada, passed away on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at her home in Nevada following a sudden illness. She was born April 18, 1946, in Kansas City, Mo., to Frank J. Johnson and Gladys Marie Glassburn Johnson. She married Dennis Eddie Ferguson on April 27, 1963, in Osceola, Mo., and he preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 2004.

Nancy was born and raised in Kansas City, Mo. She attended Rosedale High School. She moved to Osceola, Mo., in 1961, where she met her husband Dennis. Nancy was a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. Between El Dorado Springs and Nevada, she had lived in this area for the past 30 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, sci-fi movies, and her dog Precious whom she had just recently lost.

Survivors include one daughter Tina Johnson, Nevada; two sons, Steven Ferguson, Joplin, Mo., and Erik Ferguson, El Dorado Springs, Mo.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne Johnson, Kansas City, Kan., Robert Johnson, of the state of Missouri, and John Johnson, Bonner Springs, Kan.; and two sisters, Diane West, Kansas City, Kan., and Helen Swadley, of the state of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse; one son, Dennis Ferguson Jr.; three brothers, Frank Johnson Jr., David Johnson, and Dennis Johnson; one sister Shirley Konkel; and one infant sister, Edith Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 14, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
