Carthage 67, Kansas City Northeast 20

Sophomore Kaylee Morgan could have beaten the Lady Vikings of Kansas City Northeast High School by herself Wednesday night as she put up 21 points in the Lady Tigers' 67-20 rout. Andrea Westhoff joined Morgan in double figures, nearly equalling Northeast's point total as well with 17 of her own.

With that win, the Lady Tigers of Carthage will move on into the tournament semifinals to face the Lady Panthers of Raymore-Peculiar at 6 p.m., Friday, inside Wynn Gymnasium. The Lady Vikings dropped into the consolation bracket with the loss and will take on Carl Junction on Friday at 6 p.m., at Nevada Middle School.

Kansas City Central 77, Carthage 59

Just two days after shattering the tournament record for points scored in a single game, the Blue Eagles of Kansas City Central had an off night in second-round play. That off night was still more than enough to handle most of the competition that they may face, however, including the Carthage Tigers, as the Blue Eagles rolled to a 22-point win.

Senior Mikel Spearman led the offensive effort for Central with 22 points, followed closely by Terrell Shears with 21. Prince Bass joined Spearman and Shears in double figures as well with 12.

That win lifted Central into the tournament championship in the boys' bracket, where they will face the winner of tonight's game between the Panthers of Raymore-Peculiar and the Knights of Kansas City Southeast at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, inside Wynn Gymnasium. Carthage drops to the third place game to take on tonight's loser at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, at Wynn Gymnasium.

Stockton 65, Lamar 41

Stockton's Lady Tigers led by as much as 31 points early in the fourth quarter on their way to a 65-41 victory over the Lamar Lady Tigers Wednesday night. Chayla Rutledge led the offense for Stockton with 22 points, followed by Kaitlan Cramer with 17 and Ashli Burton with 14.

For Lamar, Ashia White was the only player to break into double figures on the night with 11 points.

Stockton is now set to move on to the tournament semifinals to take on the Nevada Lady Tigers Friday night at 7:30 p.m., at Wynn Gymnasium, while Lamar drops into the consolation bracket to face Joplin Friday night at 7:30 p.m., at Nevada Middle School.
