Two injured in unrelated traffic crashes Jan. 27

A two-vehicle crash occured Wednesday afternoon 1 mile north of U.S. Highway 54 on Route AA when a 1989 Pontiac driven by Derek C. Edmiston, 53, of El Dorado Springs, pulled out of a private drive into the path of a southbound 2001 Kia Optima driven by Breann D. Jackson, 18, of Harwood Mo. The Jackson vehicle struck the Edmiston vehicle in the rear. Jackson was transported by ambulance to the Cedar County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

A single vehicle crash occurred Wednesday morning 2 miles north of Arthur on U.S. Highway 71 when a northbound 2005 Nissan Titan driven by Lachelle R. Marshall, 38, of Belton Mo., traveled into the median then skidded back onto the roadway and overturned several times. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Marshall was wearing a safety belt at the time of the accident and was transported by ambulance to the Nevada Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
