Nevada Classic postponed

NEVADA, Mo. -- Due to inclement weather, officials at Nevada High School were forced to postpone Friday's action in the 11th annual Nevada Tiger and Lady Tiger Classic tournament.

Originally scheduled for Friday were semifinal round games on the girls' side of the bracket. Game's between Kansas City Northeast and Carl Junction. Carthage and Raymore-Peculiar, Lamar and Joplin and Stockton and Nevada have all been moved to today, along with the boys' first, third, fifth and seventh place games, weather permitting.

Today's revised schedule is as follows:

Girls

* Carthage Girls vs Ray-Pec Girls, noon, at Nevada High School

* Stockton Girls vs Nevada Girls, 3 p.m., at Nevada High School

* KC Northeast Girls vs Carl Junction Girls, noon, at Nevada Middle School

* Lamar Girls vs Joplin Girls, 3 p.m., at Nevada Middle School

Boys

* Seventh Place game, 1:30 p.m., at Nevada Middle School

* Fifth Place game, 4:30 p.m., at Nevada Middle School

* Third Place game, 1:30 p.m., at Nevada High School

* Championship game, 4:30 p.m., at Nevada High School.

Championship round games in the girls' tournament will be made up at a later date that has yet to be determined.
