Viola Frances Urner

Viola Frances Urner, 88, Nevada, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. She was born Sept. 15, 1921, in Nevada, the daughter of Frank Sterling Vaughn and Dexia Asenath Biggs Vaughn. She was married March 27, 1940, to Anthony M. Urner and he preceded her in death July 29, 1966.

Mrs. Urner was a member of the First Christian Church in Nevada. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a Past-Matron of Chapter No. 53, the Ama Deum White Shrine, and Osage Valley Fine Arts Guild. While living in California, she worked at Airesearch-Garret Corporation in Los Angeles County working in the Engineering Department in Blue Print Control.

Survivors include three sons, Anthony (Tony) Urner and his wife Carol, Nevada, Stanley Urner, also of Nevada, and Gary Urner and his wife Marsha, Omaha, Neb.; two granddaughters, Amanda (Mandy) Ann Urner, and Jamie Lee Urner; two great-grandsons, Mitchel Lee Vaughn Urner, and Jackson McCain Urner Gilbreath; one brother, Billie W. Vaughn and his wife Louise; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., today, at Newton Burial Park in Nevada with the Rev. David Rorabaugh officiating.
