Nevada R-5 hires new high school principal

On July 1 Debra Workman will return to Nevada High School in a new role. Principal.

Workman, who taught in Nevada from 1989-1993, comes to Nevada after spending the past five years as an assistant principal at Raymore-Peculiar High School.

She previously taught at Grain Valley, Nevada and Harrisonville.

Tyson Beshore, Nevada assistant superintendent, said that the district will host a meet and greet for Workman later this spring.

Another new principal this year. Just how many is the Supt. going to have to go through to find who he wants? What is wrong with the present Principal and the Asst. Principal. Both are well qualified and both have done a great job. When is this shopping going to end?

Welcome back Debbie! I worked with Debbie in Grain Valley, where we were both English teachers. She is very professional and very fair. I know she will do a great job!!!
