Earl Lewis Spillman Sr., 58, passed away May 3, 2010, in Ocala, Fla. Born July 22, 1951, in Nevada, Mo., he moved to Marion County in 1985 from New Albany, Ind.
The owner/operator of a retail business, he loved to fish and enjoy the outdoors.
Earl is survived by his wife, Terry Faye Spillman; five sons, Earl L. Jr., Joplin, Mo., Brandon, Corey, Ryan and Justin Spillman, all of Ocala; one daughter, Hannah Spillman, of the home; two brothers, John Spillman, of Fresno, Calif., and Aaron Spillman of Branson, Mo.; four sisters, Virginia Smith, Phyllis Spillman, Judy Fleming and Donna Berry, all of Nevada; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two sons, Christian and Shane Spillman; and parents Clarence and Virginia Spillman.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE Jacksonville Road, Anthony, FL, 32617-3609, with visitation 6-8 p.m., today.
