Ruby Janice Golden, 48, Tahoka, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 28, 1961, in Yukon, Alaska, to Gusse Martin Myer and Bertha Margaret Stark Myer. She and Ralph Manuel were married for 12 years and he preceded her in death in 2009.

Ruby was proud of her Athabaskin Native American Indian heritage.

Survivors include sons, Thomas Manuel and his fiancée Terry Timmerman, Independence, Mo., and Tony Manuel and his fiancée Sandra Simmons, Osceola, Mo.; one sister Eva Springer, Hemet, Calif,; two half-brothers, Billy Erick, Fort Yukon, Alaska, and Darrell Demmick, Anchorage, Alaska; one half-sister; Shirley Demmick, Anchorage, Alaska; one grandson, Griffon Leroy Thomas, and Ruby's fiancé, Logan Harrison, Tahoka, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Sondra Reana Manuel; a half-brother, Mike Erick and a half-sister, Marie Erick.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 10, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
