May 28

A three vehicle accident occurred at 7:45 p.m., at U.S. 54 Highway after Adams, involving an unknown driver, driving a van, who struck a pickup driven by Kathi Jo Cain, of Milo, and a car driven by Kizzi C. Pace, of Nevada. No injuries were reported.

May 28

A petty theft was reported in the 1400 block of North Cedar, called in by Windy Reese, of Nevada. She reported a trash can stolen.

May 29

A three-vehicle accident occurred at 11:50 a.m., at U.S. 54 Highway and Hickory, involving a pickup driven by Jens D. Barclay, of Nevada, a car driven by Lisa L. Daniel-Phillips, of El Dorado Springs, and a pickup driven by Bradley C. Wilson, of Nevada. Barclay suffered evident, but not disabling injuries; Daniel-Phillips suffered disableing injuries; and Brenda K. Hill, a passenger in the Daniel-Phillips vehicle, suffered disabling injuries.

June 2

An accident occurred at 9:08 a.m., at Route W before U.S. 54 Highway, involving a box truck driven by Daniel L. Fehling, of Richmond, Kan., and a car driven by Anna M. Hastings, of Nevada. No injuries were reported.

An accident occurred at 11:41 a.m., at U.S. 54 Highway before Route BB, involving a car driven by Sheila K. Meritt, of Nevada, and a pickup driven by Brenton L. Vickers, of Nevada. No injuries were reported.

An accident occurred at 4:52 p.m., at Business 71 Highway and Hickory, involving a car driven by Vivian A. Weil, of Nevada, and a pickup driven by Derek Woodall, of Nevada. Loretta Atkinson, a passenter in the Weil vehicle, suffered probable but not apparent injuries; and Frank Woodall, a passenger in the Woodall vehicle, also received probable but not apprent injuries.

June 3

An accident occurred at 8:15 p.m., at Hunter before Main, when a car driven by an unknown person, struck a bicycle ridden by Charlene Hamilton, of Nevada. Hamilton suffered evident but not diabling injuries. The accident is still under investigation.

June 4

A one-vehicle accident occurred at 5:45 a.m., at Business 71 Highway after the underpass, involving a pickup driven by Mitchell R. Pent, of Nevada, who struck the bridge railing. Pent suffered no apparent injuries.

June 5

A one vehicle accident occurred at 10:32 p.m., at the alley of 414 E. Walnut, involving a car driven by Ryan K. Mauer, of Nevada, who struck at utility pole. Mauer suffered evident but not disabling injuries.

June 6

An accident occurred at 6:40 p.m., at Washington and Vernon, involving a car driven by Kizzi C. Pace, of Nevada, and a pickup driven by Trevor D. Hunholz, of Nevada. Pace suffered evident but not disabling injuries.

An animal bite was 300 block of North Clay, called in by Misty Brundridge. She reported a 4-year-old female who was bitten by a dog. The dog was quarantined.
