Marlene Scotten was greeted enthusiastically by the crowd gathered on the courthouse lawn Thursday evening during Bushwhacker Days Local Legends night. Scotten dedicated her last song, "To my twin, who is in heaven."

The air was filled with music Wednesday and Thursday evenings as local performers entertained the crowd on the Square; the Songfest of Celebration, featuring mostly gospel music, was held Wednesday, and the popular Local Legends performances were Thursday.

Ike Richmond takes the stage.
The Meyers Bluegrass Band, featuring five young members from the Schell City area, plays for the crowd.
Singers from Crossroads Christian Church join the celebration.
Mallorie Ast led off Thursday night's Local Legends singing on the Nevada Square after George W. Bush (Brent Mendenhall) opened the festivities.
