Twenty-six people attended a community policing training Nov. 17 at the Nevada Housing Authority. Sgt. Bill Ladwig from Fulton, Mo., police department conducted the training. Attendees included Nevada housing staff, Nevada Police Department and housing managers from Nevada, Lamar, Carthage and Webb City. All attendees will receive certificates for completing drug identification session as one component of the program. Plans are in the works for additional training sessions and workshops for housing managers, maintenance staff and landlords in the future.
