Nevada Regional Medical Center's 7th annual Holiday Festival

Thursday, December 16, 2010

Nevada Regional Medical Center held their annual Holiday Festival on Sunday, from 1-4 pm. The event brings in approximately 150 children and their families each year.

"This event is such a great thing for the kids in the community. We enjoy getting people into the hospital for reasons other than being sick," laughed Aimee Meyer, community relations director.

Throughout the day, the children had the opportunity to get a photo with Santa and listen to a story read by Mrs. Claus. They also had a chance to play "reindeer games" and make crafts in the "elves workshop." And, there were holiday tattoos and cookie decorating at the "North Pole." And all along the crowd was serenaded by a group of Cottey students singing Christmas carols. The Holiday Festival is put on by NRMC employees and their family who volunteer their time for the worthy cause.
