The Craftsman Co. will hold a free "Finding America's Treasures" program in Nevada from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Sears Hometown Store at 1909 E. Austin Blvd.

"This is a hunt to unveil the hidden treasures found in garages, workshops and attics across the country," said a spokesman for the Chicago-based manufacturer affiliated with Sears Holding Corp.

"From vintage Craftsman Tools and tractors to vintage bicycles, signs and other historic items, we want to see Nevada's collections. Fans are encouraged to come out and have their treasures evaluated by an appraiser, enjoy free food and receive a discount on a new Craftsman Tool Saturday."

Noting the Nevada stop is one of 31 this year in the U.S., the spokesman said those who miss it may, through Aug. 12, log onto Facebook.com/Craftsman and click on the Amer. Treasures tab to upload photos of their items.

"Photos from each event will be uploaded to the Craftsman Facebook page so fans can watch as history unfolds," he said.
