Youth Fair events under way with cat show
Erin Reedy of Bronaugh FFA watches judge Kelly LaPreze examine her cat Charlie, who was named Best of Show at Thursday night's Vernon County Youth Fair Cat Show, in the home economics building at the Vernon County fairgrounds. With them are fellow Longhaired Females over 8 Months and their owners Alexis Brown of Bronaugh 4-H, second from right, with Pumpkin; and Keilah Cain of Nevada, Westpoint 4-H, with Sophia. Others were Katie Norman of Bronaugh 4-H, whose shorthaired male Winky was Reserve Best of Show, and Brett Snead of Nevada Ellis 4-H, who had claimed his little white shorthaired female Tori from the Joplin Humane Society after it survived the May 22 Joplin Tornado.
