Lee and Maxine Rimbey -- 65 years

Lee and Maxine Rimbey will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a reception on Sept. 4, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall at First United Methodist Church at 3rd and National in Fort Scott. The celebration is open to friends and relatives, whose presence, the family notes, is the only gift desired.

Maxine Alford and Lee Roy Rimbey were married Sept. 18, 1946, in Bolivar, Mo. They are the parents of Gary Rimbey and wife Diane of Frontenac, Kan., Evelyn Rimbey of Denver, Colo., the late Nancy McCreedy, and Peggy Stark of Fort Scott. They have four grandchildren -- Cortney Red Feather, Britney Malpiede, Nolan Stark, and Karley Stark, and one great-grandson, Rocco Red Feather.
