Teen hurt in Saturday accident

Seventeen-year-old Tailer L. Manos suffered serious injuries when he fell off the bumper of a vehicle into the roadway along Missouri Highway 43 in Bronaugh.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Manos was riding on the rear bumper of a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by a 16-year-old youth from El Dorado Springs at 9:40 p.m., Saturday. The vehicle hit a bump and Manos flew off, landing in the middle of the highway. Manos was transported via air ambulance to Freeman Hospital, Joplin.

Sadly, the young man is in very bad shape.

Sadly the young man has passed away at a very young age. Rest in peace. My thoughts are with his family and his fellow classmates at Bronaugh.

I have family that goes to Bronaugh. They said it was a very sad day yesterday. They have made posters and put up in the hallway for him. The school has also brought in some counselors for the kids to talk to. Very sad that this happened. My thoughts and prayers are with this boys family and friends.
