Nevada man charged with felony tampering
Nevada police arrested a 23-year-old Nevada man Nov. 15, after warrants were issued for the felony first degree tampering, stemming from a Nov. 12 incident in which the man, Christopher Shipp, was arrested at about 1 a.m., having fled on foot from police after he was seen driving a car that had been reported stolen moments before.
A foot chase ensued, and Shipp was captured a short time later near the 1500 block of North Washington Street. An NPD press release says investigators believe Shipp may be responsible for several other recent auto thefts in the same general area.
Shipp is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond.
