There was a report of a theft in the 200 block of North Ash Street. Item stolen was a Honeywell lockbox with miscellaneous change.

Jan. 20

4:15 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident occurred at US 71 Highway, south of Business 71 Highway when a car driven by Michelle R. Ryan, Nevada, lost control of the vehicle and struck the guardrail. No injuries were reported.

4:25 p.m.: An accident occurred at US 71 Highway, south of Business 71 Highway involving a van driven by Lacy J. Coy, Nevada, and a semi driven by Mitchell W. Sutton, Burden, Kan. No injuries were reported.

There was a report of a theft in the 1100 block of West Douglas Street. Items stolen were a diamond ring and a pair of earrings.

There was a report of tampering with a motor vehicle. Item stolen was a purse with miscellaneous contents.
