Kay and Jim Phillips -- 50 years

Brent Phillips and Deana Cornell wish to announce the 50th wedding anniversary of their parents, Jim and Kay Phillips, on Feb. 2, 2012. James Arthur Phillips and Betty Kay Brackenridge were married Feb. 2, 1962, by the Rev. O.V. Dodson at the Old First Baptist Church in Nevada, Mo. They had lived on the their farm for 34 years, before moving to their home near Nevada.

Jim taught the Building Trades class at El Dorado Springs for 18 years.

Kay worked at Vernon County Circuit Clerk's office and then at Farm & Home Savings for more than 20 years.

The couple plans no formal celebration, other than being with their children and close friends. The family notes the couple would love to receive cards. Their mailing address is 17337 E. Noah Rd., Nevada, MO 64772.
