NEVC falls to Bronaugh

BRONAUGH -- A quick start propelled Bronaugh past Northeast Vernon County 79-56 in boys basketball action on Friday night.

Bronaugh led 21-8 right from the start. The game was nearly even the rest of the way, but the Wildcats' first quarter was enough to secure a win.

Jacob Bell scored 27 points and had seven steals for NEVC.

Grant Davis added 12 points and eight rebounds for the Knights (11-7).

In the girls game, Bronaugh won 44-34. The Wildcats used a 20-5 fourth quarter to pull out the win.

Christanne Middleton scored 13 for NEVC (2-16).

Both teams will compete at the conference tournament this week.
