Ramona Jo Ramsey

Ramona Jo Ramsey, 76, Nevada, passed from this life Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at her home. She was born July 31, 1935, in Tulare, Calif., to Howard W. and B. Corene Earnest Reaves. Ramona married Elmer Brundridge January 1951, and they had two children, Michael A. and Sheila K. Brundridge. She later married Hillard Griggs in August 1959, and they had one son, Terry Lee Griggs.

Ramona worked many years as a waitress in Reno, Nev., and Branson, Mo. She moved back to Pangburn, Ark., unable to work because of bad health. She later moved to Nevada and lived here until her death.

She is survived by her children, Mike Brundridge and his wife, Marcia, Schell City, Mo., Sheila Goree, Cabot, Ark., and Terry Griggs and his wife, Joann, Bryant, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Wanda Ramsey, Nevada; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Clara "Rae" Beck and Jerrie Ann Randel.

Following cremation, there are no services planned.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
