Nevada tennis team falls to CJ

JOPLIN -- Carl Junction defeated Nevada 9-0 in high school boys tennis action on Tuesday at Missouri Southern.

In singles action, Ben Coltharp defeated Nevada's Andrew Arneson 8-6, Troy Lawson beat Colton Short 8-1, Andy Gloshen topped Anthony Do 8-0, Jensen Smith beat Luat Vu 8-0, Brandon Weston handled Skylar Crews 8-1 and Dylan Haralson knocked off Skyler Laning 8-1.

In doubles action, Coltharp and Gloshen edged Arneson and Short 9-7, Lawson-Smith beat Do-Laning 8-0, and Weston-Haralson nipped Vu-Crews 9-8 (7-5).

Nevada hosts Bolivar today at 4:30 p.m. at the NHS tennis courts.
