Karon and Tom Jones -- 50 years

The family of Tom and Karon Jones will host their parents 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 4, 2012, from 3-5 p.m., at the Lyons Mansion Restaurant at National and 8th Street in Fort Scott.

Tom and Karon were married at the Community of Christ (RLDS) church in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Feb. 4, 1962. Tom lived in Woodbine and Karon came from Underwood, Iowa. They moved to Fort Scott in 1980, when Tom became Fort Scott postmaster.

They have four children: Kim Middleton of Altamont, Kristi Gregory of Camdenton, Mo., Kara Wigger of Chetopa, and Tom II "TA" from New York City; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

All are welcome to "come and help them celebrate their anniversary with friends and family." The family requests no gifts, just the fellowship of others.
