Della Mae Price, 87, Nevada, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Christian Health Care in Nevada, following an illness of several months. She was born, one of eight children, Dec. 13, 1924, in Vernon County, Mo., to Reuben Andrew Gilmore and Hattie Minerva Fenton Gilmore. She was married Nov. 1, 1946 in Fort Scott, Kan., to Ray D. Price and he preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1998.

Della graduated from Nevada High School in 1942. She worked at Nellie Don and Junior House for 27 and 1/2 years until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Della was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Nevada, the Goodwill Social Club, TOPS, the Friendship Group, Westminster Club, and her card and domino group.

Survivors include one son, Ron Price and his wife, Sandie, Nevada; two daughters, Pat Norris and her husband, Jim, Nevada, and Sandy Wallace and her husband, Randy, also of Nevada; six grandchildren, Travis Norris, Mike Price, Kim Williams and her husband, Andy, Lisa Martinie and her husband, Bill, Lindsay Douglas and her husband, Josh, and Lanette McInroy and her husband, Zach; nine great-grandchildren, Zoe, Indy, Amy, Wyatt, Weston, Ty, Molly, Owen, and Rand; three brothers, Harold Gilmore, Nevada, Dean Gilmore, Nevada, and Delmar Gilmore, Milo, Mo.; two sisters, Ruby Cartwright, Larned, Kan., and Ruth Langston, Blanchard, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; one infant son, Gerald; her parents; and two brothers, Roy Gilmore and George Gilmore.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 30, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Terry Mosher officiating. Interment will follow in the Milo Cemetery, Milo, Mo.

Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday between 10 and 11 a.m., prior to the funeral service.
