Shaylee Terry waits with her father, Dwight, and Tammy Catron, of Pleasanton, to perform in the Hume Fair talent show with her sister, Aubry. They danced and tumbled to the song "Put On a Happy Face" from the 1960 musical, "Bye, Bye Birdie."

Anna Spencer sings "Daddy's Hands" as Hume Fair Secretary Karen Irwin, in the background at right, stands ready to call the next talent show contestant. The week-long fair also featured baby and swimsuit contests, a ham and bean feed and a washer tournament.
Hume Fair Rodeo queen contestant Cheyenne Davidson steadies her horse, "Kate," before last Friday night's grand entry. Cowboy songs and poems performed by Cliff Sexton, a garden tractor pull, crownings of the fair prince and princess and a street dance played by Distant Kin also highlighted the annual event.
Hume High School seniors, from left, Doug Fisher, Michelle Robinson and Brittany Thomas staff the concession stand an hour before the rodeo.
