Import tax will restart manufacturing in U.S.

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

Dear Editor:

Does our government, Wall Street and the oil group think we can't see what is going on?

We watched our auto companies merge with Japanese in the '70s. GM with Toyota, Ford with Honda and Chrysler with Datsun and Mitsubishi.

Who knows how many imports we are getting from U.S. owned companies from overseas? Why can't we do something about that?

Are we all as stupid as they think? I bet if we put an import tax on the imports owned by the U.S. money groups we could get some foundries and factories going again.

How long can we allow all this dishonesty in our lawmakers and money group?
